Bundle up and join us for one of Lakeside’s most cherished holiday traditions — the Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting! This festive evening brings together local businesses, families, and community members to celebrate the spirit of the season and the joy of small-town Christmas.

Enjoy hot cocoa, delicious food, our crowd-favorite S’mores Bar, kids activities, holiday cheer, and special visits from Santa, his elves, and of course…the Grinch! Whether you’re making memories with family, visiting with neighbors, or soaking in the glow of the season, this event is all about connection, tradition, and community.

This evening is also a celebration of giving. Each year we host a massive food drive benefiting the local West Shore Food Bank — so please bring your non-expired, non-perishable food donations to help support local families this winter. We’ll also be collecting toys for West Shore Toys for Kids, helping spread holiday joy and brighten Christmas mornings for children in our community.

Last December, our beautiful Christmas tree and lighting structure were damaged in a powerful windstorm, destroying much of the structural foundation and many of the lights that helped make this event so magical. As we work toward a replacement — whether purchasing lights for an existing tree within the park or creating a new version of what once stood — we’re reminded that this tradition has always been built by community.
