Making Spirits Bright, Together.
Bundle up and join us for one of Lakeside’s most cherished holiday traditions — the Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting! More than just a holiday event, this evening is a true reflection of our small-town spirit, brought to life through the collective efforts and generosity of local businesses, community organizations, and families. It's a time for our community to come together, celebrate the season of giving, and share in the magic of a small-town Christmas.
Enjoy hot cocoa, delicious food, our crowd-favorite S’mores Bar, kids activities, holiday cheer, and special visits from Santa, his elves, and of course…the Grinch! Whether you’re making memories with family, visiting with neighbors, or soaking in the glow of the season, this evening is all about connection, tradition, and community.
At the heart of this tradition is the spirit of giving. Each year, our community comes together for a big food drive benefiting the West Shore Food Bank — so please bring your non-expired, non-perishable food donations to help support local families this winter. We'll also be collecting toys for West Shore Toys for Kids, helping spread holiday joy and brighten Christmas mornings for children in our community.
Made possible by our community, for our community. That's what makes this tradition so special.
KEEP THE MAGIC GLOWING
For years, the Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting has brought our community together to celebrate the season with laughter, lights, and small-town holiday magic. A community effort and celebration, consider a donation to this event to help support costs.
Keep the Magic Glowing: Lakeside Christmas Tree Fund
For years, the Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting has brought our community together to celebrate the season with laughter, lights, and small-town holiday magic. After our beloved tree and lighting structure were heavily damaged in the December 2025 windstorm, we are working toward a new and meaningful replacement. Whether purchasing lights to decorate an existing park tree or creating a new display, we need the support of those who cherish this tradition. Help us keep the magic glowing for generations to come.

Want to Help Make the Magic Happen?
The Lakeside Christmas Tree Lighting is powered entirely by community spirit and holiday generosity — and we’d love your help! Whether you’d like to donate or loan items like Solo Stoves, help serve cider or cocoa, host a cookie decorating station, organize a kids activity, volunteer your time, or bring another festive idea to life, we welcome your involvement.
This event survives and shines because of neighbors, local businesses, and those who believe in the magic of small-town Christmas traditions.
