When summer meets small town.

The Lakeside Fair returns Saturday, July 11 for a full day of classic summer fun, community traditions, and family-friendly festivities along the shores of Flathead Lake! Hosted in partnership with the Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce and the Lakeside Community Club, this beloved event brings together locals and visitors for one of the West Shore’s favorite summer celebrations.

The fun actually kicks off early with the Lakeside Community Club’s hugely popular Treasure Sale beginning Thursday evening with Early Bird shopping opportunities before the main fair festivities on Saturday at 9AM.

Saturday starts bright and early with a Pancake Breakfast at The Gathering Place beginning at 8AM before the annual Parade rolls down Highway 93 at 11AM. The parade is free and open to businesses, organizations, families, and community groups — and we encourage everyone to get creative and join the fun! To keep the event welcoming for all, parade entries must remain non-partisan and family friendly. Any entry deemed inappropriate or controversial may be asked not to participate.

After the parade, the Kids Carnival kicks off with games, crafts, prizes, a dunk tank, and NEW this year — a kids 45ft obstacle course from Monkey Business Adventures. Don’t miss the crowd-favorite Watermelon Eating Contest at 1PM, proudly sponsored by Stoner Creek Cabins (limited spots; register early at the flatbed trailer after the parade).

Come hungry because this year’s food lineup is stacked with favorites from Wild Child Food Truck serving up poke bowls and cheesecake, alongside The Sausage Queen bringing all the classic and gourmet hot dog creations.

The day wraps up with the always-entertaining Duck Races at 4PM at Tamarack Brewing Company on Stoner Creek, organized by the Lakeside Community Club and the Tamarack Brewing Company team — a can’t-miss community tradition full of laughs, cheering, and friendly competition.

From pancakes and parades to duck races and summer treats, the Lakeside Fair is everything people love about small-town Montana summers.

BE PART OF THE FUN!

The Lakeside Fair is powered by community involvement — and there are plenty of ways to jump in!

The Kids Carnival is always looking for businesses, organizations, families, and volunteers to host a game, craft, activity booth, or interactive experience for local kids and families. It’s a fun and meaningful way to connect with the community while helping create one of the Fair’s most-loved traditions. Donations toward prizes, supplies, and overall carnival costs are also greatly appreciated and help keep activities affordable and family friendly for everyone.

The Parade is another incredible opportunity to get involved — and participation is completely FREE! Showcase your business, nonprofit, club, classic car, rad boat, vintage tractor, sports team, or simply gather your family and friends for a fun community entry down Highway 93. With hundreds of spectators lining the route, it’s fantastic visibility and a chance to be part of a classic small-town summer tradition. Creative, energetic, and family-friendly entries are highly encouraged!

We encourage you to be part of it.
