The Lakeside County Water & Sewer District exists to ensure that the quality of Flathead Lake is sustained for future generations.
The District accomplishes this by providing water delivery and wastewater collection and treatment for customers within the boundaries of the area, generally along Flathead Lake from the Flathead County line on the south to Highway 82 on the north.
The intent of the District is to meet the water and sewer service demands of natural growth from properties within the general area that are accessible to the District's facilities and within the capacities of the systems.
A major objective is to have all accessible properties between the lakeshore and Highway 93 served by the sewer system.
This will be accomplished by:
Judicious allocation of available sewer capacity to established lakeshore properties first, other properties next.
Equitable distribution of operations maintenance costs among all system users.
Equitable distribution of system expansion costs among new properties annexing into the District.
Operating the system in an efficient and financially responsible manner.
