2026 Community Clean Up Day

Let’s roll up our sleeves and show our town some love!
Join us on April 25th for our Community Clean-Up Day as we come together to help keep Lakeside and Somers beautiful. We’ll meet at Volunteer Park (under the large pavilion) to pick up trash bags and safety vests before heading out to tidy up our neighborhoods, parks, and roadways.
There’s something powerful about caring for the place we call home. Picking up litter isn’t just about trash—it’s about pride, connection, and community. It’s a chance to spend time outdoors, meet new faces, work alongside friends and neighbors, and make an immediate, visible difference. Every bag filled is a small act of kindness for the next person who walks that trail, visits that park, or drives that road.
When you’re finished, please return your filled trash bags to the large trailer at Volunteer Park by 11:00am. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to bring your collected trash directly to the local landfill.
After your hard work, swing back by the pavilion to enjoy a sweet treat and coffee compliments of Glacier Perks—because doing good should feel good (and taste good, too!).
Bring your friends, your family, your coworkers—many hands make light work, and together we can make a big impact.
